    3 May 2012:
    Mutiara Project - Tuaran, Sabah

This is a project to help and teach the unfortunate native children a living skill. We started with 30 native orphans at Jireh Home, Tuaran, Sabah in May 2012. This educational project is directed by Mr. Tham Kok Yin, an experience strings instrument tutor.

Why do we start this project?
Many native orphans were not educated in normal schools when we found them. Some are not even able to speak any languages beside their own native mother tongue language and not able to write and count from 1 - 10 at the age of 14. We try to let these children learn a musical skill as we found that native children are pretty music in their natural way...
    Stage 1:
    What do we do?
We provide free music education (starting with all strings instruments learning).

    What do we need?
    Strings instruments for learning.
